I’m LeShawn Holcomb - an educator, nonprofit leader, community member, and Trustee on the Sausalito Marin City School District Board. I have dedicated my career to creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and thrive. From my years as a teacher and instructional coach at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Academy to my current work as a Dean of Student Success at Tamalpais High School, I have had the privilege of supporting students across their educational journey. As a Marin City resident and Executive and Artistic Director of the Griot Theater Company, I believe strong schools are built when educators, families, and community work together around the needs and potential of every child.

My campaign is centered on three commitments: Trust, Opportunity, and Accountability. I want to strengthen trust through transparent leadership and authentic partnership with families and educators; expand opportunities by connecting students to rigorous academics, enrichment, community organizations, and resources; and promote accountability by keeping student achievement, responsible governance, and measurable progress at the center of our work. I am committed to strengthening our Community Schools model and helping build a district where every student is challenged, supported, and prepared to succeed.
